00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:19.260
For the cat ms podcast, I'm Kat and I miss. This is a true life Podcast where we explore the quirks of being human. Well, here we are again.
00:00:19.440 --> 00:00:26.010
Hey, guys. Oh, hi. Where's your face? Hey, cat. What? Where's your video?
00:00:26.039 --> 00:00:35.310
Hey, well, I don't have my video on yet because I'm, I'm a little bit worried about what you're gonna see. When you see me.
00:00:36.088 --> 00:00:39.868
You're naked again. patrons will not pay more money for that.
00:00:40.679 --> 00:00:43.890
Well, did you lose an eye?
00:00:44.280 --> 00:00:48.450
Are you afraid that we will see your cataract cat?
00:00:48.479 --> 00:00:55.350
I'm afraid that you're gonna see one of the results of it and it might freak you out a little. So let's let's go for it. Here comes the video.
00:00:55.409 --> 00:01:10.140
Let's do it. Okay. Oh, very nice. You look at Oh, I love your third eye. Thank you. It was beautiful.
00:01:10.319 --> 00:01:14.819
Thank you. You look so nice.
00:01:10.319 --> 00:01:14.819
What's going on there, cat?
00:01:15.090 --> 00:02:03.719
Well. Anybody who listens regularly or knows me knows that I had cataract surgery this week. And that means that my vision has changed significantly. And so that means that my glasses no longer serve the same purpose that they served before the cataract surgery ship, man. So wait, you don't actually have to wear your glasses now? Well, I do have to wear my glasses because I've got that whole vertical diplopia thing. That's what I thought. So I've got to wear my glasses because they've they've got prisms, and that helps me see one of everything. But right now the prism is not helping me because have you ever put on somebody else's glasses and you get like an instant headache?
00:01:59.549 --> 00:02:29.789
Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So that's what's happening now in my left eye, is my prescription was so strong in my left eye. And now it doesn't need to be as strong because I have this whole new lens in there. So if I'm using my regular glasses, I get this like instant headache because like my new eye is going through much too strong. Much too much, much too much. You know. And so what why is that the voice you hear?
00:02:29.879 --> 00:02:32.250
Yeah, that sounds like Cookie Monster.
00:02:32.310 --> 00:02:34.800
It sounded just like Cookie Monster.
00:02:34.829 --> 00:02:37.739
Yeah, maybe that's the voice of my eye. I don't know.
00:02:37.769 --> 00:02:49.110
Interesting. I like it. Yeah, I mean, it's a beautifully drawn. I thank you. I love the I have drawn and put in front of your glass lens to cover your left eye.
00:02:49.139 --> 00:02:53.430
I'll be sure to post something about this guy's so good.
00:02:53.430 --> 00:02:54.210
Thanks.
00:02:54.599 --> 00:02:56.189
Yeah, can we do we need a photo?
00:02:56.310 --> 00:03:02.280
Yeah. Okay, here we go. That's a great face. Cat. Cataract. Hold on.
00:03:02.340 --> 00:03:03.750
Did it today.
00:03:04.229 --> 00:03:11.340
And oh, one two? Perfect, guys.
00:03:04.229 --> 00:03:11.340
He looks so great.
00:03:11.909 --> 00:03:18.689
Okay, how soon? Can you go to the eye doctor to get a new prescription for your glasses?
00:03:18.840 --> 00:03:27.150
Well, they said that. Sometimes it can take as much as 21 days for the eye to kind of stabilize. Yeah. So.
00:03:27.840 --> 00:03:46.110
So you're on vacation. Right? I wish I was. No, my my right eye is going to continue to do the heavy lifting for the next few weeks, while my left eye recovers. So I'm glad it went well. And you can you can see out of it. Are you disappointed or encouraged?
00:03:41.939 --> 00:03:46.110
Or where are you in the process?
00:03:46.139 --> 00:03:55.949
Well, can we just back up to the actual procedure itself, please? Yes. Okay. So nervous.
00:03:49.469 --> 00:04:14.460
We already talked about sticking a syringe and Right, right? It definitely it only gets worse. It's amazing. So I'm sitting there in the little surgery chair type thing, which is like a little Gurney in the hospital, except it's more kind of like a chair. And they put this gown on me just over my clothes. Like I didn't have to take anything off or anything.
00:04:14.759 --> 00:04:20.790
They didn't even let you get naked. Oh, thank God. I wear my little pasties and everything.
00:04:18.269 --> 00:04:20.790
And they did Oh, nice.
00:04:20.819 --> 00:04:31.259
Oh my god. You love to wear now, what is the step up from pasties? You have the ones that have friends on them, don't you that you've been around?
00:04:32.519 --> 00:04:42.629
Yeah, and they remember the ones that you guys gave me that have tassels? Yeah, yeah. Those for Christmas. That was Sarah. I am not that sick of a person. But I hope you are wearing them.
00:04:42.658 --> 00:04:44.069
They were stars, right?
00:04:44.968 --> 00:04:47.428
Oh, yeah, it was Star stars with tassels.
00:04:47.459 --> 00:04:48.600
Yeah. Yeah.
00:04:48.870 --> 00:04:51.959
We do need a photo if you could do that for patrons.
00:04:53.250 --> 00:04:55.709
over your clothes, of course.
00:04:56.670 --> 00:04:59.639
Yeah, guys, this is not a porn podcast.
00:05:00.000 --> 00:05:04.079
Okay, so you were naked with your pasties on at the eye doctor then what happened?
00:05:04.110 --> 00:05:06.629
No, she wasn't, unfortunately.
00:05:04.110 --> 00:05:49.589
Oh, no, I wasn't. And so the nurse like asked me my date of birth and my name and what procedure and my having and what eye is it? And then she put a pink easter egg sticker above my left eye to be sure that the doctor knew which I'd operate on which that was a little bit like, really, really dominant down there. Yeah, yeah. Kind of like when I had the injection, they did a little gold star type thing and in anyway, so they should at least give you like a, a teardrop tattoo underneath, you know, to give you some street cred. Right, right, exactly. But instead I looked like a kindergartener. So that's fine. And you don't know. So anyway, the lady says to me, after she asked me all the questions, she said, Do you need an IV?
00:05:51.540 --> 00:05:53.550
And that's when you said yes, I hope.
00:05:53.970 --> 00:06:04.050
Well, I said, What do you mean, do I need an IV? And she goes, Are you anxious? I said, Yes.
00:05:58.649 --> 00:06:23.519
Some doctor I've never met is about to do some crazy shit to my eye. Yes. That he described as a tablesaw. As he. Yeah, yes, I saw chainsaw. maptek saw. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is about to be up in here. And am I anxious?
00:06:19.529 --> 00:06:25.500
Yes, I mean, lady. And then that's when you just start slapping your arm.
00:06:26.939 --> 00:06:32.610
Like slap him arm go, where's my V? Where's that don't do drugs and less illegal.
00:06:32.639 --> 00:07:10.019
I paid almost $1,200 extra to have this laser. I didn't think that meant I wasn't allowed to get the IV. And so the lady says to me, she goes, Well, we can give you an IV. And I said, Hey, hang on a second. I said, you can give me an IV. I said, Do you mind in my light going to be completely coherent light during this procedure? And she said, Well, she said, we need you to be able to respond effectively to commands. And I said, Well, what kind of commands? And she said, Well, things like tilt your head this way, look up, look down. And I said, Wow, they're cutting my eye? And she said, Yes. And I said, Yes, yes.
00:07:10.050 --> 00:07:16.920
Yes, I am anxious and, and she said, Well, she said about to have an anxiety attack over here.
00:07:20.399 --> 00:07:43.709
So she says we can't give you an IV she goes, but we will give you a little bit of medicine that will make you feel like you've had a couple of drinks and I'm going a couple of drinks. Why can't she give you the IV? It's not standard procedure anymore. So she was joking. She was not joking. So she says to me, we're gonna give you this stuff. I looked the shit up because I was like, I can't believe this is happening.
00:07:43.709 --> 00:07:45.990
She goes, we're gonna give you this stuff called verse said.
00:07:46.319 --> 00:08:08.040
And I looked it up and verse said, Is my dazzle lamb? And basically, it is like a you are not going to care very much drug that they literally squirt under the tongue. Excellent. And so do I have to get cataract surgery to get this? Yes, yes, my eyes have been bothering me.
00:08:13.379 --> 00:08:15.089
So she says to me that loved one.
00:08:17.819 --> 00:08:51.359
So yeah, she says, she said, yeah, so you, you get this verse said, we just give it to you under your tongue. And she said, we can give you an IV and we can give you more of it if you think you need it. And I was like, I just kind of looked at her like, what am I supposed to do right now? Like, I don't understand the options that are being given to me. So she just like put her hand on my wrist and she said, you've got this. She's like, let me give you the verse said, and she goes and if you feel like you need an IV, we'll give you an IV and I was like, Okay, that's a lot of decisions to make right before you're getting a table salt to the eye.
00:08:51.389 --> 00:09:11.639
Yeah, no reading, right. I felt the same way. So the Versa worked. It did its trick I had Were you awake and aware? Or was it like super drowsy? Yeah, I was awake and aware. And it kind of made me wonder if this was a similar sensation to ketamine.
00:09:11.970 --> 00:09:21.269
I was getting ready to say ketamine you don't have a care in the world you're literally like oh look at the color Yes, yeah.
00:09:21.450 --> 00:10:16.289
How many drinks did it feel like you had good question. This did not feel consistent to having any or many drinks to me this was a completely now she said it would feel like I had a couple of drinks and I'm like lady I have a couple drinks every night like and not want drinks just a couple right cat right? Like I don't want anybody cutting on my eye after I've had a couple of drinks like that doesn't sound comforting to me. But yeah, it made it where like when I went to the I had like a two part procedure. One was like a laser thing where they broke up the cataract and then one was a thing where they like put the new lens in and so the laser procedure was kind of like They did this like suction cup of my eye ball and, and I just kind of didn't care. I was like, Whoa, what's up? Oh, wow, could you couldn't see anything? Oh, I see everything like I could see laser beams and lights and lots.
00:10:16.289 --> 00:10:22.649
Oh, yeah, that's like ketamine coming out of a cat's eyes. That's like ketamine.
00:10:22.679 --> 00:10:22.980
Yeah.
00:10:23.879 --> 00:10:44.850
So everybody go out and get some. Yeah, so it was a really interesting procedure and then they put this thing over my face. And then the doctors and the nurses were all talking about the doctors husband got a bronco. And she talked about the Bronco the whole time and what, you know, add ons he did and didn't get and then all of a sudden she's like, we're done.
00:10:44.850 --> 00:10:48.659
And so then then it was done.
00:10:44.850 --> 00:11:07.620
And I think you should get the opportunity to listen to what you want. You know, like at the dentist office when I'm getting like an implant. Well know that they put me out for that because they know better. But like if I'm getting like that serious cleaning done, they're like, here's the remote. Watch what you want. But you had no choice.
00:11:04.620 --> 00:11:26.250
You had to listen about the bronco. Yeah, I would have piped in. Oh, you went with that color. Here's my next question. If this eye is more improved, why is the right eye? The one working right now?
00:11:28.230 --> 00:11:31.139
They're both working their work.
00:11:28.230 --> 00:11:42.179
But I mean, working harder know what I'm saying? Like you don't have the right eye covered? Should the left eye be like how many hours of work does it need to have? And is it weird without your glasses as well?
00:11:42.480 --> 00:11:58.830
It is yeah. So if I don't wear glasses at all, I see to have everything. So like, without my glasses on right now I see to Sarah's two mooses, two cats, two computer screens. Like it's just like, Oh my God, that sounds like a great world you're living.
00:11:59.759 --> 00:12:07.769
It's like it's great to have a boss in July and Christmas. And when I get to see you guys.
00:12:03.299 --> 00:12:12.659
Yeah, it's amazing. But as one would imagine, that's a little bit disconcerting when it's like, Whoa, it's like my eyes are just crossed all the time.
00:12:12.659 --> 00:12:57.269
It's kind of what it what it feels like. And so wearing my glasses on crosses my eyes. And I still need the glasses to read out of my right eye. So I can't just not wear glasses because I seem to have everything. Yeah, that I can't read. But then out of my left eye my left eyes going like today we feel like reading tomorrow we feel like appears you know, it's like it's just while it's healing. It doesn't know what it needs. And so I'm just kind of I'm kind of cradling it makes sense. Okay, 2021 day vacation. I wish you should go for a long drive with one eye. Yeah, that sounds really fun. And so incredibly save a one eye drive.
00:12:57.570 --> 00:13:08.460
But then my mom reminded me that she has a pilot friend who was blind in one eye and he still flies airplanes. So I don't think that's legal, though. I legitimately think that's illegal. Well, I won't say his name.
00:13:10.230 --> 00:13:16.049
Let's turn them in. Just kidding. I mean, why couldn't he though? It's one eye, right?
00:13:13.350 --> 00:13:16.049
It's better than no eyes.
00:13:16.049 --> 00:13:19.409
Right? Right. Like flying blind.
00:13:16.049 --> 00:13:19.409
You've heard that phrase before.
00:13:19.679 --> 00:13:22.259
So does this inspire you?
00:13:19.679 --> 00:13:22.860
mousse? Do you want another surgery?
00:13:23.309 --> 00:13:40.500
No, I told you I'm done. I'm done. The gallbladder was the last thing taken out. Hopefully, for at least for the next 10 years. I'm just gonna stay committed to keeping my organs inside of me. Excellent. I love that. Although you didn't have anything removed where you had a cataract removed.
00:13:40.529 --> 00:13:53.460
I did. I had I had the natural lens of my eye removed. That is so weird. It's weird. It's weird getting old man. Welcome to your 40s where most people don't have cataracts.
00:13:54.539 --> 00:14:00.299
Yeah, well, that's not true. I think a lot of people do. This is when everything starts falling apart. Yep. All right.
00:14:00.299 --> 00:14:24.419
So we're gonna play a game, cat and you and Sarah need to participate in this game. And so I'm going to give you I read this, a friend of mine sent me the meme that I thought was very awesome because I break all of these rules. And this is six conversation habits to break.
00:14:19.110 --> 00:14:46.590
Okay. And I think they're all really good because we've we're all guilty of them. And yet when somebody does it to us, it pisses us off, or at least that's how I feel. So we're gonna go through them but I would love for you guys to give me an example. As I go through each of those. Okay. Now for anyone listening, they have not seen this at all. So give them grace because it's gonna be awesome.
00:14:46.620 --> 00:14:50.519
Yeah, we don't we don't prepare.
00:14:46.620 --> 00:15:04.409
I mean, we do prepare. Alright, here's what we do. Six conversation habits to break number one, interrupting. This makes it seem like you don't care what the other person has to say, guilty.
00:14:59.190 --> 00:15:08.970
Yeah, you don't want to give an example. Number two story topic.
00:15:04.409 --> 00:15:13.950
This can shift the conversation from connection to competition.
00:15:08.970 --> 00:15:14.309
Yeah. Oh man guilty. I'm guilty of this.
00:15:14.370 --> 00:15:16.889
Oh, me too. And I've got a great example.
00:15:16.950 --> 00:16:24.570
And I feel like sometimes that I am trying to create connection by going, oh my god, me too, because I'm not staying present for their thing. Yep. Never thought we were giving you examples. Look at I'm interrupting you. Go ahead. I thought that we were giving examples of each one. All right, give me one. My favorite one is when I tell people that I have type one diabetes. Almost always the response I get is wow, I had a relative that had type one and had both feet amputated. Oh, my God. Oh my god. It's like, are you? Are you trying to connect with me right now? Because that is not making me feel like you're connecting with me at all. Wow. I feel like that. I've seen people do that with pregnancy or infertility? Yes. Yeah. Yes. And it's such a touchy topic, because it's like, no journey is the same. And yet, you see people going like, well, here's my experience. And then next thing, you know, the, like you said, their foot is in their mouth or you're not.
00:16:29.580 --> 00:16:39.629
Okay, bright, citing, always encouraging others to be positive can feel invalidating.
00:16:33.659 --> 00:16:54.450
Mm hmm. This is a big one for me, you know, where somebody asks you, it feels like honestly how things are going. And you share, like, you know, and you try and be a little upbeat, but the voice is this, which means I'm lying. You know what I mean?
00:16:51.299 --> 00:17:08.250
And next thing, you know, they're like, well, at least you've got to feet to go for a walk and you're like, oh, that I've also heard that. When it comes to spirituality as spiritual bypassing. Oh, yeah.
00:17:08.730 --> 00:17:26.609
All right. Can you get the next three? Well, hang on, I want to go back to spiritual bypassing, like one of my most least favorite things that people say is, is when I give a response, like, yeah, I've I've kind of had a hard week and people go, God is in control.
00:17:27.180 --> 00:17:38.130
Oh, that is only that Oh, or you're never going to be given too much to handle. That's what the Lord says. He doesn't say that in the Bible.
00:17:38.160 --> 00:17:46.349
Yeah, it is. It is said in a way that is very different than how most people articulate it. And it's, it's really frustrating.
00:17:46.349 --> 00:18:51.328
So while I agree that some being greater than ourselves is in control, for example, it's like, that's not what I need to hear in that moment. You know, yeah, exactly. Right. So Okay, number four is being right. The conversation becomes about winning an argument. So what are those p what is a good example of that, Sarah? The, this is going well, I would say Enneagram, eights, and Enneagram ones might be the best at this, this one for what it's worth. The conversation becomes about winning an argument I was this person not too long ago, where if somebody had an opposing opinion of mine now, I've just learned not to have friends that have that kind of kindness. But back then I really thought I could convince people. And so I would try. I wouldn't necessarily try and win an argument, but I would try and win them to my side. And yeah, that doesn't work.
00:18:52.500 --> 00:19:02.369
Okay, the next one is being all knowing explaining information without being asked for your expertise. Oh my gosh, this is my pet peeve.
00:19:03.569 --> 00:19:07.170
Oh my gosh. Okay, there's that.
00:19:07.200 --> 00:19:12.690
All right. So being all knowing Can you think of something that happened to you where someone was, was all knowing?
00:19:13.529 --> 00:19:43.170
Well, I keep just seeing myself and all of these, like, sadly, you know, like, I'm like, I know when I did that. I know when I did that. Yeah, I mean, sometimes this comes out for me when I have anxiety. Like if I'm trying to fill some space, it's not so much me being all knowing it's me trying to be like, I have more information I could probably share right here if it's going to be quiet. So I will just fill some of this space and and see what happens.
00:19:39.240 --> 00:20:21.808
But it's not it's not a winner for conversations for for me, I had an experience where I taught myself a thing I still have no idea how the person on the other end felt and I'll have to ask her at some point, but I was having a text conversation with a friend and she was saying like, hey, something that you said about body Work it kind of sent me on this, like, you know, rabbit trail and so I went on the rabbit trail and it's all your fault. And, and so then she described to me like, like what I had said and how it you know, encouraged her to do this project she wanted to do and, and all this kind of stuff and so I wrote back trying to be like the most connective like good like all knowing friend.
00:20:22.169 --> 00:21:00.328
And I basically describe things I know about her life and people who support her in her life. And basically, like used all those things as examples of how she could accomplish something even greater than the project that she was working on. And it was like, I went back and read what I said. And I was like, who knows what she was thinking on the other end, she was probably like, all I wanted to do was show you my spreadsheet. You know, and it's like, I just totally was like, and then that's, that's gonna happen, and then this is gonna happen. And now I'm a prophet, and now this is gonna happen, and then it's gonna turn to a spaceship and Oh, my God, you're so amazing.
00:21:00.328 --> 00:21:17.519
And like, I was doing it in an effort to communicate to that person like, Hey, I'm invested in you, like, I know things about your life, and it's just not what was needed. So well, being all knowing let's not Yeah, I'm with you on that, that Christians do that a lot, right?
00:21:17.519 --> 00:21:21.329
Where they're like, Oh, well, here's what the Lord told me.
00:21:21.900 --> 00:21:39.059
But I always want to say back like, Well, great. Can't wait till he tells me. You know what I mean? Okay, number six is advising. It's sort of in the same in the same idea. Sometimes people just want your empathy.
00:21:36.480 --> 00:21:39.059
Yeah.
00:21:39.750 --> 00:21:49.680
Yeah. How about that? Yeah, this is good. Now, what you might want to do next time that happens is you might want to take Tylenol. Oh, my God.
00:21:50.519 --> 00:21:55.769
Yeah, I'm a big advisor. Me too.
00:21:50.519 --> 00:22:03.240
Me too. I love to fix things. I love to solve problems. But guess what, most people don't want me to solve their problems unless they're paying me and then they might.
00:22:04.529 --> 00:22:37.920
Well, and one thing about this that you bring up to Moose is that like, I am finding in my own practice, as a human being, but also like, in my, in my job as an artist manager, and in my job as a licensed massage therapist is that like, I'm having trouble going, Okay, I don't want to do those six things. And I want to do active listening. And I want to reflect when it makes sense to reflect.
00:22:33.450 --> 00:22:45.839
But I also do not want to be disingenuous, and it's really kind of hard to go like cat I just want you to act like cat and not talk like a therapist.
00:22:45.839 --> 00:22:56.640
I've had friends say that. And it's like, okay, but then if I talk like cat, then all I want to do is tell you to go take a Tylenol and it's gonna make it better, and then tell you how much I know about how Tylenol is going to make your thing better.
00:22:56.640 --> 00:23:05.519
And so it's a very weird, yeah, a very weird continuum that I'm finding myself on, like, how do you guys tackle this thing?
00:23:06.299 --> 00:23:27.869
Well, I, I think when it like when I think about me in a coaching position, which is when I want to be the most like, pinpointed and on and all those things. I have to really get in a position that sounds dirty.
00:23:22.950 --> 00:24:36.900
Like beforehand, mentally and emotionally so that I can bring my core True Self like, I'm touching my, my gut right now when I say that. Because I think what you're what you're referring to sometimes is often we, we we do these things in order to Blake, you know what I mean? Like it's subconscious 99% of the time, I think, but so much of us trying to communicate with people, even if we're looking at these six habits, so much of us is trying to create connection, and we have a lot of weird shit that's happened in our life that we've been taught creates connection. So it's easy to jump back into those patterns. Even when we are trying to be our most authentic self, you know, yeah, we're still human. And we're still trying to process what's happening in front of us. And so there's a little grace we had I guess, to Sarah, do you have some sort of sound in your magical sound library that does something that's like, dun dun.
00:24:39.390 --> 00:24:40.259
Yeah, for sure.
00:24:43.799 --> 00:24:47.339
I feel like there needs to be like a moment in the podcast.
00:24:47.339 --> 00:24:56.339
Remember how we had the perspective game like that was kind of a thing for a minute.
00:24:50.339 --> 00:27:12.930
Yeah. The perspective game, the perspective game I feel like the dunk dunk is that like we are experiencing and having more awareness in our lives now than we ever have. And so we actually have an awareness that like, let I am I am bright citing things I am doing spiritual bypassing, like I'm being all knowing, or whatever it is. And so there's an awareness about it, we're at least we know. Yeah, because some people just do it and don't have a clue that wow, this is really alienating me that you are treating me this way right now, or this is really making me not feel connected to you. So want to celebrate that there's certainly an awareness there. So I think it's just kind of figuring out like, like I was saying before, like, how do we be our most authentic selves, and also have a better awareness about how these kinds of things don't necessarily create connection? Yeah, it reminds me of that. I remember when Brene, Brown was, you know, kind of newer on the scene for most people on like, a larger level. And she was describing, like the link between courage and vulnerability. And it's always stuck with me this phrase of like, having the courage to show up. And then this is the kicker, when you can't control the outcome. Mm hmm. Yeah. And, you know, that came across my phone or something this week again, and reminded me and I literally was like, okay, that's the hard part. That's the fear is having the courage to show up for me. I can always get there, it feels like but I can't, if when I don't know how it's going to end up when I can control all of the environmental factors, all of the people in the room like all of these things, but that's not life, like, we actually can't and the the more technology that we have, and the more we're communicating via technology, the less control we have of where things go. And I just, I was reminded of that this week, and I just thought I'm gonna like meditate on that this week.
00:27:09.299 --> 00:27:21.269
Like, that is actually what courage and vulnerability do and when they intersect is this idea of I will show up even though I don't know how this will turn out.
00:27:22.470 --> 00:27:29.490
Do you know what you're describing? And this is going to be a great display of me.
00:27:25.200 --> 00:27:30.990
Displaying the All Knowing response? Oh, is?
00:27:31.650 --> 00:27:33.779
So would you like to see all?
00:27:31.650 --> 00:27:33.779
No, yeah.
00:27:33.809 --> 00:27:48.269
Would you like to have some connection with me moves because I'm about to tell you, my all knowingness about what you're saying. But hey, I have attention and awareness. Don't worry, I will yell bright siding, if I feel like you're getting too positive.
00:27:48.450 --> 00:28:03.900
Okay. Well, the bright side of things is that we are now in daylight saving time. So isn't that great? Tomorrow is the vernal or the spring equinox.
00:27:57.720 --> 00:28:09.029
Which means that we have almost exactly the same amount of daylight in the same amount of dark as each other.
00:28:09.059 --> 00:28:13.980
So what you're gonna say is the Yin Yang is perfectly balanced.
00:28:13.980 --> 00:29:04.680
Is that right? No, I mean, I know yes, at the equator 100% It's almost always balanced right at the equator. But what I was gonna say is that what you're talking about is very much the energy of the element of spring that is wood. And that's a very controlling energy and like we want to control control control, like we want to, like manage the outcome, we want to predict what's going to happen and we want to do all the little things in between to be sure what happens to us is safe, and all of that all of that is very springy energy and very wood energy and I just think it's kind of cool that you're having an awareness around that in the season that that roll is impending. Yeah. So do you think it's ironic that the wood element is about control?
00:29:04.890 --> 00:29:13.529
Well, I mean, yeah, it makes me think like guys get a woody guys get a packer right. Yeah.
00:29:08.009 --> 00:29:19.769
Basically like Yeah, it's like the season is spring is very it's very male. It's very the beginning of young Of course, yes, of course.
00:29:20.430 --> 00:29:36.390
Okay, Miss No at all miss. You're gonna be the All Knowing and I'm going to advise you and then we're going to Brightside each other and then I'm going to top your story by interrupting absolutely love it. We should start a podcast.
00:29:37.410 --> 00:29:39.089
Do you feel connected now?
00:29:40.079 --> 00:29:44.819
Can we take out the freeze Woody? No, please? No.
00:29:45.779 --> 00:29:50.819
Yeah, I'm like, why? Like why that's the least offensive thing that I've said all year.
00:29:50.849 --> 00:29:52.140
We've said much worse.
00:29:52.920 --> 00:30:09.450
So how are you guys feeling about the banks collapsing and people being arrested? Should have been arrested years ago this week hopefully and space junk falling from the sky. Is anybody else a little nervous about what's happening in the world?
00:30:09.480 --> 00:30:18.000
Yes I am. It reminds me of the nurse going Do you have any anxiety about this procedure?
00:30:13.950 --> 00:30:18.000
Like yes yes, I'm very scared.
00:30:18.299 --> 00:30:33.630
I'm nervous. I'm scared that just says give me the IV to go anywhere. You just know it's a it's I'll take the IV Yes, I'll take the IV so yes, I am anxious about that. What do you know about these things? I mean, I have so many opinions, but I don't want to Brightside it.
00:30:34.140 --> 00:30:39.000
I don't either. I don't want to Brightside it. I don't know.
00:30:39.000 --> 00:31:11.759
It's just I I'm trying not to look at the news the only the only time if it says breaking news. You know something about somebody from Palm Beach being arrested I might open it up but I'm trying to stay away from the news otherwise, why? He's quoting that that'll that guy I'm not gonna say his name is saying he's gonna be arrested tomorrow but and then now he's he's trying to get all of his little cronies to come down there and create a huge a huge fit around Mar a Lago, so I could be interesting.
00:31:11.940 --> 00:31:22.140
Yeah, it definitely could be interesting. I when you talk about things falling from space and stuff like that. It reminds me Okay, no, of course I didn't do I even look at the internet.
00:31:22.140 --> 00:31:25.769
I only have one eye right now.
00:31:22.140 --> 00:31:26.880
I'm not I'm looking at as little as possible.
00:31:30.269 --> 00:31:34.079
Have you ever have an excuse?
00:31:30.269 --> 00:31:34.079
It's right now only got one eye?
00:31:34.349 --> 00:32:18.809
I am completely unaware and unwell because I just can't see the internet. Okay. You're definitely woke and we're going to keep that word positive. So thank you are woke for what it's worth. But But um, so yeah, I'll show it to you. It's not I don't have it right here. But basically folks in China as well as folks in the eastern, I don't know, maybe California or eastern US. That's not I am aware of that one area of geography, not geology. So my point that I'm bringing you is there's this video of all of these lights. Let me just bring it up. Hold on. It was in LA.
00:32:15.240 --> 00:32:28.410
Well, that's what I met the western United States. Cities.
00:32:18.809 --> 00:32:35.099
Lights in sky space trash. Space junk. Yeah, it's right here.
00:32:28.410 --> 00:32:36.029
Here we go. So this is what everybody saw.
00:32:37.200 --> 00:32:41.099
Yeah, I saw that too. You did?
00:32:37.200 --> 00:32:43.140
While I saw the video. Oh, it looks like looks like meteors.
00:32:43.170 --> 00:32:46.920
I mean, it looks like a bunch of UFOs flying to come get us.
00:32:46.980 --> 00:32:53.640
It looks like a bunch of Yeah, like meteorites, with trails, but it was the International Space Station.
00:32:55.049 --> 00:33:09.210
emptying the trash. Toilet decade's worth of story, fog.
00:33:10.140 --> 00:33:11.640
All kinds of methane.
00:33:14.460 --> 00:33:21.119
Everybody thinks it's UFO. Alien turd flying through space. No, it's just human turd.
00:33:21.420 --> 00:33:22.859
I'm here for your news guys.
00:33:23.640 --> 00:33:36.150
I'm here for your news. Alright cat you were trying to you're trying to take a bridge across a topic that you wanted to bring up. But I ruined it for you. So what do you want to talk about?
00:33:36.480 --> 00:34:23.820
Well, this is not the topic I wanted to talk about. And I do have something else I want to say and it makes me think of I remember seeing this interview when do you remember recently when there was like a spy balloon like over the US and it got like shot down and all that kind of stuff couple then I remember. I remember hearing some person in a leadership role. I don't know who it was. I'm not familiar with the person but they were like a congress person. And they they said in all seriousness to the camera. This gentleman said this has been going on for years. There there are things that are unidentified, falling through our atmosphere all the time. This is the first time it's been publicized like this.
00:34:19.349 --> 00:34:28.440
And I'm like okay, so if that's the case, then why do we now need to publicize it like this?
00:34:28.469 --> 00:34:47.760
This like creates fear in people like it's all fear equals ratings, right? So the more they can find these balloons, the more exciting it is for these network news stations. Yeah, well, I want to just say that I bought a kite recently, so I'm gonna stir up some shit here in Brentwood, Tennessee.
00:34:47.789 --> 00:34:56.909
Did you really? Yeah. Did I need to know what part of yours and your internal family systems wanted to buy a kite because that seems very precious.
00:34:57.119 --> 00:35:03.480
Morgan Freeman for sure. Like yeah, Why do you want to Fly kite?
00:35:00.000 --> 00:35:32.369
Tell me about it. Um, I really think that flying a kite is really beautiful and I think it's cool how like a structure can be supported by the air but also supported by like me and a string and it can be pretty like flapping up in the air. Like there's something that's just really innocent and pretty and, and beautiful about that to me and so I have this fantasy of going out on top of a hill and just flying a kite one of these days that it's not straight line winds.
00:35:33.000 --> 00:35:33.929
What Hill?
00:35:34.590 --> 00:35:36.989
Yeah, what Hill are you gonna choose? We're curious.
00:35:37.469 --> 00:35:40.889
Uh, probably the one at Ellington agricultural center.
00:35:41.099 --> 00:35:45.329
Oh, yeah, I think that would be really nice to go fly. My owl kite.
00:35:46.050 --> 00:35:47.159
It's an owl.
00:35:47.190 --> 00:35:49.320
It is an owl. Oh, that's cool.
00:35:49.380 --> 00:35:50.699
Is it a large owl?
00:35:50.820 --> 00:35:53.369
Yeah, it's got a wingspan of 57 inches.
00:35:53.670 --> 00:36:04.079
I think you just say feet. I was gonna be like, that is more of a Macy's balloon. That's fun. I'm surprised you didn't get a moose.
00:36:04.769 --> 00:36:19.380
They didn't have a moose. They had an owl they had like a monkey or something. I mean, they just like none of it made any sense in my mom really likes owls. And one of my dear friends really likes owls. And so owls are also associated with wisdom.
00:36:19.380 --> 00:36:22.530
And so I was just like, I'm gonna get that out. I think it's it's awesome.
00:36:22.559 --> 00:36:33.630
I like owls. Oh, that's a yay. Saying I have a house everywhere. Maybe I have an animal. Oh, maybe I should get it alligator kite.
00:36:33.630 --> 00:36:40.170
That's cool. Let's we could play that game where we name things and see if we have them around our desk.
00:36:40.590 --> 00:36:41.550
Oh, hey.
00:36:42.929 --> 00:36:47.519
Cats gonna stop me both of our stories. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna talk your story.
00:36:49.530 --> 00:36:57.599
Oh, yeah, that's pretty impressive. That friggin your bear with her owl and my alligator. Well, we're not talking about bears are we?
00:36:57.929 --> 00:37:05.760
No, we're not we're talking about owls well, we might need a song.
00:37:06.150 --> 00:39:25.769
Well, the song that was in my head today I was thinking about the podcast and about how like we always revert back to these like late 80s 90s early 2000s songs and how I've been listening to Milli Vanilli almost on repeat since like three episodes ago. And today I was preparing for the podcast and I was standing outside in the sun and I asked the universe bring me the song oh nine and the universe said the lack of bom bom oh shoot Can you give it to a serif done dad dun dun Baby Come and get it all right off Oh look. I can do better with more Mama babies anytime please please see the same thing sugar me shake it in the name come on is we my Dad Oh, that was awesome special thanks to our producer Sarah.
